PML-N member Punjab assembly from PP-62 Faisalabad Raza Nasrullah Ghuman resigned from PML-N and joined PTI to contest next general election from NA-101 Faisalabad I on PTI ticket. He tried to get PML-N ticket from NA-101 (previous NA-75) but the party refused to award him ticket. The other reason is that in the new delimitations, his old constituency PP-62 bifurcated into different constituencies.
Raza Nasrullah Ghuman elected twice from PP-62 in 2008 and 2013 on PML-N ticket. He also contested the national assembly seat NA-80 in 2002 on PPP ticket but lost to Rana Asif Tauseef of PML-N with a narrow margin. The interesting thing is that both were trying to get the PTI ticket for NA-101. Now Raza Nasrullah has been ensured the ticket from this constituency.
Raza Nasrullah decided to resign as MPA in protest to amendments made in the Khatam-e Nabuwat (PBUH) declaration of the nomination forms. His political opponents allege that he just used the Khatam-e-Nabuwat (PBUH) issue to get the voters sympathy. He was in U.S for more than seven months and recently returned to join PTI. Whatever the reason might be, the fact is that two law makers have quit PML-N and Joined PTI in last two weeks. Dr. Nisar Ahmad Jutt MNA from NA-81 already joined the PTI.
