The Olympic Games Federation announced On Friday, Indian athletes Rakesh Babu and Irfan Kolothum Thodi are sent home from the Commonwealth Games after a needle was found in a cup in their bedroom at the Athletes Village
CGF president Louise Martin told reporters, Triple jumper Babu, walker Thodi and three Indian team officials appeared before a CGF hearing on Thursday,
"The athletes' testimony is not reliable and evasive," Martin told reporters. "Rakesh Babu and Irfan Kolothum Thodi are breaking the" no needles "policy.
"Babu and Thodi are not allowed to participate in the Games, their accreditation has been suspended and both athletes have been expelled from the village.
