Pakistan defeated Australia by 11 runs in the 2nd T20 to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Pakistan has won the three match series by 2-0. This is Pakistan’s 10th straight Twenty20 series win. They have not lost since Sarfraz Ahmed became captain of the team.
Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat in the fixture.
Batting first Pakistan scored 147 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.
Babar Azam was the top scorer with 45 runs which included three boundaries. Hafeez made 40 runs off 34 deliveries with the help of three fours and two maximums.
Faheem Ashraf and Shoaib Malik made 17 and 14 runs respectively.
Imad Wasim was named Player of the Match for his performance of the ball.
In response, Australia could only manage 136 runs in their 20 overs. Glenn Maxwell scored 52 runs in 37 balls but his efforts went in vain.
Sarfraz was full of praise for his team and Shaheen.
"It´s not easy to win 10 series on the trot in the T20 format," said Sarfraz. "The way we have played and improved has been very good. We have improved batting, bowling and fielding, and our management deserves credit.
"I was confident of Shaheen bowling the last over, he may be inexperienced but he showed that he has the capacity to be a big bowler."
Australian captain Finch said his players were too cautious.
"We were probably just a bit tentative in the first six overs of batting," said Finch. "Being six down last game, we tried to be conservative. And when Pakistan put the squeeze on you, it can get tough. They are No.1 for a reason."
The dead rubber third Twenty20 game will be played on Sunday in Dubai.
