Spearhead of Australian pace attack Mitchell Starc recently rated his chances to feature in the Test series against Pakistan in United Arab Emirates. The left-arm pacer believes that he is in good shape ahead of their next assignment and is on track for a Test return as Australia prepares to play against Pakistan.
Talking about his chances, Starc said, “I’m definitely available for selection, as long as it all goes well over the next few weeks. There’s not many opportunities to play very much competitive cricket before that tour. At the moment I’d like to think I’m very much available for selection for that UAE tour.”
With 43 Test matches under his belt, the 28-year old pacer has 182 Test wickets with a laudable bowling average of 28.17. If he plays, then Starc’s speed and his expertise with the old-ball will be pivotal to Australia’s chances to succeed against Pakistan.
